How do you Ignore rude 'fat' remarks?!

Question: How do you Ignore rude 'fat' remarks?
Well I am fat and trying to lose weight, and I've been going to the gym. When I go to the gym I walk there and walk home from there. Today on my way to the gym a group of teens yelled something out from their car calling me a huge fat @ss, and at the gym I was called a few hurtful names by some people there as well. I just Ignored them but It hurt Inside. Can you please give me advice? has this ever happened to you? how do you deal with It?

Hey,don't Worry!I was 280 pounds!! And I was going to the gym as much as I was able to.it was very painful bc I knew that someone will most likely will say something about my looks! And they did, hurts I know! What I did was use them as my flame, the more bad things they said the harder I worked out! Now...5 months later I'm happy to say I'm 168 pounds! And now I hear nothing but silence and encouragement! Work hard and think about how much more awesome it would be it you lost 70+ pounds

Just ignore them :) You are doing your best to work out, and good for you!! Telling them off will just fuel the fire. Just remember, what goes around comes around. If they call you fat, chances are they will get fat when they get older!

Me being fat (well.. not as much now) myself I was called names as well when I was younger. What I did was put it back to there face. "How?" you may asked. Easy, most skinny assholes will usually use the same line of some sort. "Lard ***," "Fat ***," "Blimp," the list goes on and you've more likely heard them all by now. I'd be like, "oh, so you're going to go with that line, huh? Can't think of anything creative to say?" That usually will shut them up.

If some does think of something creative that you thought was funny was well (meaning you gotta to think outside the fact that he or she is making fun of you) then laugh along as well and be like, "man, that was a good one! First time hearing that" or something. This will make the other guy think you don't care about being called names and think you're a cool cat and will want to hang out with you.

I, personally, would make fun of myself as well just to have a laugh. It's how I am with a lot of people and I make fun of them back as well. I have a friend who doesn't shower that often and his name was Joe so I called him Dirty Joe and he knows it's all fun and games. So make it fun again.

I stopped being a wimp about myself and stopped caring.
