What results should I expect to see from running a mile 6 days per week?!

Question: What results should I expect to see from running a mile 6 days per week?
I would like to tone and build musle in my buttocks and upper thigh area. I would also do other various exercises, like squats and lunges, for maybe 10 or 15 minutes, along with my 6 day-a-week Hip Hop Abs workout. What sort of results will I see with this workout schedule? Would biking for maybe 2 miles instead of running 1 mile give me better results for that area? I'm really working hard to try and tone up for the summer. I also ride horses 2 days per week, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance :)

Answers:

I would personally stick to running as it is better than cycling. If you would like to become more tone I would definitely suggest swimming as this uses all your muscles and burns fat faster than running and cycling combined. But its also about diet, you cant just exercise and continue to eat unhealthy (not saying you do just an example). Its good to consume a lot of protein with what you have planned for your exercise, but also other nutrients should also be eaten because you do need a balanced diet!
Horse riding does make a difference, I used to ride, its another form of exercise but not as strenuous.

If you keep this up for a lengthily period (say 3-6 months) you will definitely notice a difference.
I personally keep to a diet of high carbs, and protein and I bike around 120 miles a week (thats what keeps me fit). I also go swimming early in the mornings before university, I do this for 1-2 hours.

Well hopefully this has helped others may express their opinions, but this is what I would do and do to keep me in shape :)

You will see tremendous results. this is definitely a great idea. But, not only should u run u must make sure you are also having a balanced diet.
You should not run and go home and eat extra because you feel like you burned calories.
Also, running is definitely the best way to exercise but biking may be more enjoyable.

i am a runner

This is a very good idea and you will see a tremendous result in few weeks. Good going but along with exercise proper nutritious diet is also necessary so eat healthy foods.
