Hi,
I like your thinking. If you need to lose weight, and you are going to do it, diet and exercise are the two biggies. I guess you're asking for advice.
I think the 30 minutes of cardio is excellent. If you do this four times a week, [maybe more.. remember to take a day off here and there, or change the workout...] you will change your body. [It's a good idea to work slowly towards this.. if you haven't done any for a few years, suddenly starting a taxing regime can lead to injury.] And elevating your heart rate this way, if you develop a habit, will be a lifelong body benefit.
I'm not positive on the 40 pounds in two months. It's a lot. I started a few years ago, to run a few times a week. And it took longer than that. I did lose the 40 pounds though. One thing for sure though, if you stick to the cardio, you will see a change that makes you happy, and before two months. People you know will notice, too.
I like that you're not setting any speed or distance goals, simply getting the cardio up for that 30 to 40 minutes is sufficient, and you will find you quickly become able to accomplish more during each session. Listen to your body, and don't try to add more than 10% per week, once you begin. This is important, as you can injure yourself, and lose weeks if you try to add too much too fast.
Stretch partway through and after each session, it will save you some pain, and lost days.

I think you need more than potato and tea. Potato is a carb supplier, and it's great. However, you are trying to effect a lasting change in your body, and you need more than just carbs. Runners, athletes of any sort, do 'carb loading' before an event, and after... However, you also need some protein, and you will find your body starts to desire better foods automatically, as you develop a routine.. I like baked better than french fries for example, though.
Fruits, bananas, celery.. good stuff. Green vegetables, not full of stuff that makes you heavy. A source/sources of protein. Necessary. NOT in potatoes. Legumes, meat, eggs, cheese, fish.

Keep up the workout, and watch the foods you do eat, and you'll find the body reshapes itself.
And.. some of what will happen, you'll lose a certain amount, then stop losing, but your body will keep changing. That's because you will be changing the type of tissue you have, from fatty, to muscular.. and muscle weighs more than fattier tissue. You'll begin to think of things you want to exercise, as your body changes. Remember the 10% per week.

Keep the goal of 40 pounds, if that's what you need, but realize it will probably take more than two months to make this change. Then you will be happy with the change you see in two months, and it will be significant.
{ you can probably take 40 pounds off very fast with a diet you will not sustain, but you'll put it back on, and that's why the exercise and reasonable diet, are key. If you want to keep it off, work steadily, and enjoy your successes as they come.}
Good luck, keep up the good work!!!

hey, I've been having this diet problem for so many years. I was taking all kinds of stuff. Until I found this website by accident, I had my doubts at first but I felt there was nothing to lose. I saw results after 2 weeks, but I was feeling good. After going through that initial stage, which was such a confident booster, I worked on developing good diet to maintain my result. I couldn't believe I didn't try this sooner. This is where I found the information: www.simplydietsecretshare.tk

eat every thing except fastfood and fried things, turndown all beverages and u will lose weight even if u dnt exercise vigorously chao

Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don't get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don't work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That's why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet's are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that's how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don't overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It's more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun :)
