what do you think is the healthiest fruit for a person?!


Question: What do you think is the healthiest fruit for a person?
I would say watermelon. Its extremely sweet but the sugars are natural so they are good for you. plus about 80% of it is water. you can eat alot of it and not get full its a really good snack. Alot of people prefer it in the summertime :)

Either bananas or mangoes. Bananas are high in potassium and a whole food in and of itself. Avocado is sometimes considered a fruit as it has a pit.



Actually, I don't think that there is no such thing as "the" healthiest fruit.

Fruits are not only composed of water, fructose and and vitamins but also a lot of so-called secondary metabolites. The contents vary between the sorts. The secondary medtabilites are not essential, you don't die when you don't have them. However, if you do eat them, they have a large range of positive health effects.

Some of the effects are already more or less know, many are not, because there are so many of these substances. (This is actually the reason, why vitamin pills cannot replace fruit and vegetables, they can never contain everything, only the "naked" vitamins.)

The funny thing is, the best mixture of fruits and vegetables to get all of these substances is to eat all colors (red, green, orange...), because many are dyestuffs (chorophyll and carotinoids probably being the two most commonly known types).

But in the end, I agree, watermelons are especially awesome. I love the mess they make. When I was little, dessert in summer always was eaten half-naked on the lawn ^.^ .

I've heard bananas are great for a variety of reasons, the potassium the fiber and more, it's a natural appetite suppressant. Fruits are high in sugar, true, but it's fructose. Fructose is metabolised in the liver and for reasons I forget is better form of sugar



Depends what for.

Pineapple is incredible for weight loss.
Bananas are incredible for giving energy and filling you up.
Avocados are full of good fats to give you good skin and stuff...

oh man I love them all :)



i would say either a tangerine or a banana and they help to lose weight keep it off and stay healthy plus u feel like you have more energy..
