Question: What would you class as too much weight loss and what time scale?
Like percentage of body weight lost in certain amount of weeks/months
The correct amount of weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week. So if a person has lost more than 10 pounds a month it would be cause for concern.
Not certain on exact #'s but for the average person, 1-2 lbs per week is considered healthy weight loss.
However, this all depends on each individual person. A person who's morbidly obese and goes from 4,000 calories in one day to 1200 along with exercise will easily lose much more. Does that make it unhealthy? Not if they are eating proper and exercising correctly. So it's more than just raw #'s.
1/2 lb every 3 days is more than enough for me.
