They do not use needles at the orthodontist where they put braces on.
The procedurre takes up to 2 hours but not the full 2 hours is used, you will have an orientation where they will talk with you over what is being done and impressions are made.
The only ' hurt or pain ' associated with getting braces is the adjustment of the brackets over time. This will make your teeth hurt until they get adjusted. You can take Tylenol for the pain.
There is no numbing done at the Ortho's. Needles are primarily done at a dentist's office.
