Is this dental logic? i need as many answers as possible to back this up! thank !

Question:

Is this dental logic? i need as many answers as possible to back this up! thank you in advance~?

I had all dental treatments needed finished two weaks ago - inclusive fillings, abscess and cleaning of my teeth. Since then, i have sensitivity whether im eating/drinking cold stuff or eating/drinking hot stuff. What is this? Undoubtedly, it is because of the dental treatments especially cleaning teeth followed directly by fillings and the like. What can i do? I feel this throbbing pain after i eat for 10 minutes. Then, it vanishes. It doesnt bother me alot, but i mind it.

Could it also be that i dont sleep well or enough that affects the gum nerves? It is not the teeth hurting, it is the area around it especially my left cheek, causing jaw pain and the like. In addition. my left teeth are root-canaled.

I dont think i need to get back to the dentist. I talked to the mouth hygienist. She believes it is normal. But it has been two weeks now. I am looking for relief.

What is gum recession? Is this the case?

Answers:

if you have had alot of dental treatment done.fillings cleanings etc.........you can still have some moderate pain. with root canals, the nerve is gone so the tooth is dead.usually after that procedure you are in alittle bit of pain, for a couple of days but nothing that will stop you from eating. if you had a DEEP filling you might have sensitivity and or some mild pain for up to a month or two and if that does not go away you need to call the dentist and let him know.you might need a root canal. you sound like you had alot of work done to you.please be patient, use warm salt water rinses and relax. you are going to be just fine. the one thing to look for is if you feel pain when drinking hot or very warm liquids. cold is ok but hot is not. they might need to do a pulp test on the teeth they filled.that will tell if the nerve is dying or dead. good luck and relax.
