I would say go out and invest in a waterpik, those things are awesome for getting food particles out your teeth and gums, but they work really well for getting particles out of braces. You can find them at Wal-mart, Walgreens, CVS and other stores, these are just the stores that I've seen them sold at. I hope this helps.
