What does "bond retainer" mean on my orthodontist appointment slip?!
Question: Usually I just have 10 minute appointments for tightening. But I was told when scheduling my next appointment that is gonna be 35 minutes long. They didn't tell me why, but on the appointment slip it says "bond retainer" where it usually says "tightening".
What does this mean?? Why would I get a retainer when I haven't even gotten my braces off yet??

It's a wire that they put on your teeth that will be there permanantly to keep them in place. I've had braces twice and I should be getting mine off in about a week, and they're going to put one on my teeth too so they don't move again :)
