I need to whiten my teeth. I may need to get them bleached 2 or 3 times to get them bright again.

The only limiting factor in bleaching your teeth is tooth sensitivity. You can bleach them daily until you achieve your desired result without damaging your teeth. Your gums may be sensitive as well as your teeth, but no studies have shown that bleaching has any damaging effect on your teeth.
So, bleach as often as you can tolerate until you reach your desired shade. Sensitivity is normal. If your teeth and gums start hurting, simply stop bleaching for a day or two and the discomfort will subside.
