Medicated Filling?!

Question:

Medicated Filling?

I have a medicated filling, that they said would be there for about 2 months, and if i had pain I needed a root canal. There was no pain, so they are taking the medicated one out and pputting a real one in monday. What exactly will they be doing?

Will I need Novocaine? Will there be a drill?

Answers:

Yes, they will freeze it, then use a drill to remove the medicated filling and any decay that may be present. Then they'll fill it with a permanent filling.
