CONSTANT TOOTH PAIN??? please answer!!!!?!

Question: ok seriously...this is retarded...i have sensitive teeth and have had a few cavities but they have been fixed..ive had root canals on 2 teeth already because the sweet sharp pain when i eat/drink...not only just hot and cold but EVEN luke warm things. i recently just had to have an emergency root canal done because i couldnt take the pain...i tried whiskey and advil..orajel..just didnt do anything...finally it didnt hurt anymore...but only for a day!!

i just started eating my supper and now i feel that same sharp sweet pain in another 2 teeth!!!!!! these root canals cost my insurance company 800-1000 a pop. and i only have 1,800 coverage. i dont want to keep having to get root canals because it weakens the tooth over time.

is there any way he could be doin something to my nerves while hes doing procedures so that i have to come back in and get more work done? like..my dentist is crooked with money and hes very greedy..and got 4 kids in university.

what else could this be?

The best thing you can do for sweet, cold and generally sensitive teeth in general is to use a desensitizing toothpaste such as Sensodyne. Use it several times a day and don't skip any days. Also you can use GelKam topically for the sensitivity.

I highly doubt you dentist is doing anything to bring you back for more work. There's plenty of dental work out there so the last thing we have to do is make it up.

It sounds to me as if you have highly sensitive teeth with perhaps an underlying problem that is affecting the nerves of your teeth. Really communicate this to your dentist and get an explanation as to why this is happening.

the only thing that might be happening to the root canaled teeth may be that all of the nerve didnt get removed- and/or the crown covering the root canal is not sealed at the margins, allowing food and bacteria to get inside and cause irritation and infection. The other pain may be caused from an infection. If you dont trust him, find another dentist and get a second opinion, it will save you $$$ in the longrun.

HAVE YOU TRIED TOOTHPASTE FOR SENSITIVE TEETH SURELY YOU DONT HAVE DECAY THROUGHOUT YOUR MOUTH THERE IS A GREAT TOOTHPASTE CALLED FLOURIDEX I THINK YOU CAN ONLY GET IT AT A DENTIST IT HAS A HIGH FLOURIDE CONTENT YOU COULD TRY SENSODYME ALSO IF YOU TAKE TWO IBUPROFEN AND TWO TYLENOL THAT USUALLY WILL STOP THE PAIN AND MAYBE YOU COULD GET A SECOND OPINION FROM ANOTHER DENTIST

the only way to find out what is wrong is to GO SEE THE DENTIST...............

Some people are luckier than other in dental health. Root canals are required if you have either 1. decay, or 2. a crack in the tooth, and that kind of stuff occurs even if you take good care of your teeth, it's called bad luck. Yeah, I know.... 800-1000 a pop. Been there. You may wish to consult a different dentist if you don't trust the one you have.

put toothache medicine if that doesnt work put a hot pack on ur month i did it and it works
pls add me thanks
