well i have had braces for about a year now, and they arent that bad. getting them on-sucks. getting them tightened sometimes-sucks, sometimes isn't that bad. don't eat foods that stain your rubberbands around the brackets. they make your teeth look yellow really bad. also, brush a lot because it helps in the end whent braces are no longer in your mouth.
