Crest Whitestrips?!

Question: Do they really work or are they overrated?

Answers: Do they really work or are they overrated?

They do work...for some things....as they are peroxide, but, if you have caps, or crowns, they won't whiten them. Also, you can't use them with regular braces (the non-invisalign ones).

I got the "better" grade of Crest ones....they had less strips, and worked faster than the basic white strips did....I got them for before my wedding. I do have sensitive gums though (my dentist knows), so I used Enamel Care by Sensidyn toothpaste first, to help take care of any sensitivity and protect the enamel as well. I actually only used about 1/3 of the strips and WOW, were my teeth white (and I was a frequent cola drinker at that time....although, now I have stopped). They didn't stay bright (not FREAKISH) white as long as they probably would have if I did the whole pack, but, they were already great, and I didn't want to risk making my teeth really sensitive, so I kept the others to use a few at a time to "polish it up" and bring the bright back....which it does.

Hope this helps!! Good luck.

ps...careful about getting it on your fingers for long---try to make sure you can rinse your fingers FAST between each strip....the peroxide will burn and leave a white mark on them other wise...kind of what my contact lense cleaner used to do, but, NOT as painful.

Oh yes! Before I got my braces I used them religiously. They honestly worked extremely fast and my teeth stayed white for six months after I got my braces. I can't wait to get my braces off so I can use them again!

yep they work
