well, actually I'm 13, and I heard it hurts A LOT. Although, I hear this every time, I still want to get them. I think they look sooooooo cute! I actually WANT them!!!!! And also, to make you feel better, remember how many kids your age have braces, and they actually live with them. Don't worry, you'll be one of a million.
