Question:

My 10 year old daughter lost 4 teeth in less than 1 week. Is it something i should be concerned about?

In less than 1 week, my 10 year old daughter lost 4 baby teeth, and has another tooth that's loose. I don't know if it's normal or not to loose so many teeth at one time. To me, this doesn't sound healthy. Does anyone know if this is a normal situation, or is there somethings I should be concerned about....

Answers:

It is normal...I would loose my teeth in groups also. My son lost 5 within the same week before. It is just the teeth underneath coming to the surface at the same time. Think about the top and bottom sets of teeth. You have two canine teeth on top and two similar teeth on the bottom. You would loose them all within a relatively short time span because they are all on the same development schedule.

When a baby gets teeth it is USUALLY in multiples...not one at a time.

It might be a nuisance for her when corn on the cob comes into season but maybe the adult teeth will be through the gums then!
