Can you get cavities in your dentures from using too much artificial sweetner?!

Question: Cavity happen because the teeth are made from a cristal which disolve itself while in a acid solution. The bacteria digesting the sugar create acids which disolve the cristal.
As well soft drinks are acid enought to disolve the cristal.

this acidity dont go much lower than 4-5, so that the teeth can get disolved, but dentures cant, since it is plastic.

those bacteria can stick to the denture if it is not well cleaned each day, and calculus can stick on the denture as a result. Other than that, no the denture wont have cavities.

I'm not specifically sure, but, I doubt it. For one thing, I'm fairly sure that the Dentures would be using a synthetic materiel, not bone - like teeth. Further, I'm not sure what impact it would have if they did, as it couldn't likely ruin the strucrual integrity of the Dentures.

Dentures are made of methacrylate or nylon resins with plastic or porcelain teeth and are thereby saved from the damaging effects of sugars. Artificial sweeteners do not cause cavities in natural or artificial teeth.

No.

No, you cannot get cavities in dentures.... since they have artificial teeth in them and not real ones.

:)

NO, CAVITIES DO NOT OCCUR IN DENTURE TEETH, BUT STAINS DO.
