What's the shortest amount of time you can have braces on?!

Question: My dentist told me that I would probably get my braces off in a year, but I'm wondering if you could get your braces off in less than a year. Is that possible?

Usually braces on a patient stay on for 2 years give or take. I have seen invislign patients (the clear braces) or patients who had minor maloclussion or braces before, have them on for a year. Any less time would worry me. The reason why it takes so long is because your teeth need time to move into correct shape. Your teeth are always moving, and the more time you have braces on the better your orthodontist can not only give you stright teeth, but reline your smile and bite. Don't rush it..... The happier you will be with the after result.

Do you want the best results you can get, or do you mind if your teeth don't wind up straight? Your orthodontist is a specialist who has spent years learning how to straighten teeth with braces. You, or more specifically, probably your parents, are spending a lot of money to get your teeth straightened, so that you'll look as good as possible! Sure, you can get your braces off sooner, if your parents will let you, but your teeth won't be straight, and you parents won't be happy with you or your teeth.
