Miserable 8 days after wisdom tooth extraction!?!
Question: I got my wisdom teeth out and I have the stitches that will break off and fall out. However, now that they're starting to do that I have a horrible taste in my mouth and smell in my nose. Does this have anything to do with the stitches? It' awful, it nauseates me and I'm the only one who can smell this. It smells similar to sulfur. I've been brushing and rinsing my mouth with listerine like crazy, and have gone through 2 rolls of toilet paper by blowing my nose today. What is this, and how can I stop it?

first of all I would quit rinsing with Listerine. It is probably killing the good bacteria. Salt water rinse would be a better choice.
Some horrible smells will be normal but if you have shooting pain in that area, I would call your dentist. There is a condition called dry socket, that can occur after such an extraction. Smokers are also more likely to get this condition. So if you do smoke I would lay off the cigarettes while you are healing if you can. Good luck and I hope you start to feel better.
Yes, I had this too. It's totally nasty, but I don't think there's anything you can do about it. Maybe get some gum to drown out the taste. Sorry.
Sounds like you have an infection. Call the Doctor who did the wisdom tooth removal right away and talk to him about it.
Call the dentist right now it sounds like they are infected.
I had all 4 pulled at the same time and within 48 hours I was feeling better. Your symptoms sound like you need antibiotics.
