Good question

Ambsol

Ibuprofen is my friend.

My dad rubs whiskey on the tooth and it seems to numb it so i suggest that but if your too young than ask your parents to go to the pharmacy and look for tooth ache meds

hydrogenperoxide...////

Water and salt. Take a glass of water, and add salt in it.

It will kill the pain. ( It did for me!)

Orajel makes a "tooth desensitizer". It is not expensive, and it works well. I use it myself..... it can take 24 hours to take effect, but it's worth it,,, you can get it at your local drug store...

Anything with IBUPROPHEN.....Motrin, Advil....you can take up to 1000mg per DAY.

I have had FIFTEEN ROOT CANALS-----believe me.

TYLENOL will NOT help.

orajel...from a drugstore you wil slob alot but no pain.

I used Aleve and good old Jack Daniels

Ibuprofen will help but nothing will really take the pain away unless you have some good pain killers : )

I had a fractured tooth and the only thing that would numb the pain was ice water, kept me up all night... I would have tried just about anything to get rid of the pain (would have tried pulling it out if it had been one of my front tooth's) and I took a bunch of Advil and the pain didn't go away until the root canal was done.

I've also had good experience with Orajel. In my experience, it works immediately, though it wears off. I think it's the same sort of thing as what they numb your gums with before giving you a shot.

Also, if you have a doctor/dentist you've seen a few times, you can call in and they might give you a prescription for a stronger painkiller, until you can get in, as a short-term solution.

Ibuprofen will help, morphine would help too, but you might have trouble getting a hold of it.
