What can you do if you lose your retainer and your teeth are getting messed up a!

Question: is there a way to fix them w/o going to the dentist?

Unfortunatally, there isn't any way at all to get you teeth back in place without seeing the orthdontist again. Most orthodontists give you the model of your teeth when you get your braces off and ask you to keep it incase you you need another retainer made (if not an alginate impression may be needed).
If your teeth have shifted alot, another retainer can be made from this model if you have it though.

nope, get back to the dentist before too much movement takes place

get a new one just maybe!!

Yikes. Retainers are expensive. Is it a metal or plastic retainer? when mine broke, it was because of the cleaning stuff my dentist said to use. They ended up paying for it. I would just take it back in. Unless it's completely mangled, a small fix shouldn't cost too much.

Get a new one ASAP. They are expensive but not to the extent of going back to braces. My friend didn't wear her retainer after her braces of 4 years and had to do it all over again, unfortunately during her college years :(

You must go to the orthodontist and get impressions made for a new retainer. That is the only way to get your teeth fixed.

I don't think that there is a way of not going to the dentist. But you just have to get a new retainer. (And be brave when your at the dentist!) My friend just had this done and said she was happy that they had done it. Good Luck!
