I am an adult with braces and I know that they can break through no "fault" of your own. I guess technically it is your fault because you are eating, but there are a lot of things you cant help. I broke one eating something that I had eaten before with no problems. Your ortho sounds like a jerk. Accidents happen and he shouldnt be that hard on her.

I had a bracket break off of the tooth, like came unglued. And they just reattached another one. It sounds like she is doing something wrong cause while have braces for 4+ years I have never had any problems. They should not break that many times and be the ortho's fault. Sounds like she is doing something wrong and is going to waste the money put into them if they have to take them off.

so why be angry with her? let the doc remove them if it comes to that, and she can pay to get them straightened when she earns the money to do so.
