Gingivitis?!

Question:

Gingivitis?

I notice when I brush my teeth my gums are starting to receed. Is this gingivitis? And if so how do you get rid of it?

Answers:

It is gum recession.
Gingivitis is swollen, red, irritated gums that bleed when you brush them.
For gum recession: start with proper brushing techniques. Extra soft brush, brush (for upper teeth) with toothbrush pointed upwards, in small circular motions just above the gum line and move down the tooth. For each section always go back up above the gum line.
For lower teeth, brush pointed down, just below the gum line, small circular motions moving the brush up to tooth level. Re start below gum line with each section you brush.
If it is a severe case of gum recession-you may need to see a periodontist to have grafts taken from the roof of you mouth and placed where the gum line once was.
