How many times do change your toothbrush in a year?!
Question: About every 2 months. In between, I drop it in the silverware holder of the dish washer at least every 2-3 days.
I don't know if you have ever thought about it but if you have a cold that you can't seem to get rid of, it is often because you keep reinfecting yourself every time you use your toothbrush. So run it through the dishwasher every day if you have a cold or if someone else in the family has one (those viruses migrate from one brush to the next when they are all sitting in the cup beside the sink.) When the cold is over throw the old one away and get a new one. Yes I go through a lot of toothbrushes but I rarely catch a cold, sore throat, or stomach virus.

I change out the head on my sonicare once every 6 months.
Every 3 months, then it gets ratty. But then, I brush my teeth alot too.

I change my toothbrush with every season. If I have a very bad illness - such a stomach bug or a really bad case of flu, i might just replace it then too.

after while your tooth brush kinda gets soft and gross looking

3, maybe 4 times a year I put a new head on my toothbrush.
12 times. . .it really makes a huge difference to have fresh bristles. . .
It should be 4 times, but for me it has been twice this year. As long as you floss regularly and you have a good brand toothbrush.
