I just got my wisdom teeth out; how long will it take for me to chew on food?!

Question: It depends...depends on whether they were impacted or fully erupted. If impacted, only tissue impacted or were they bone impacted. And it depends on how good the dentist was.

So for some it can take about a week, for others a couple of days. I had all four of my fully erupted wisdom teeth taken out by an excellent oral surgeon. I was eating just fine two days later.

You poor dear. I remember not being able to chew the tiny little pieces of mushrooms in Cream of Mushroom soup.

Everyone is different it will just take time.

it all depends, my friend had the same thing and that nite he went out and was fine, but for me I was sick, and looked like a puffy little chipmunk! try jello an applesauce first and work your way up to harder foods, like some soup and rice see if you can chew on the chicken what whatever is in your soup. then if you feel you can move up keep going
you must do it gradually
an make sure you clean your mouth after!! use mouth wash and stuff an swish it around, getting food stuck in there is a bad problem!
best of luck!

Never had my wisdom teeth pulled but according to my friends, it took them about week before they could eat anything solid again. 1 said it was only about 3 days of pain and everything was fine after that.
