i just got braces like 5 mins ago and i just wanna know how long untill they start hurting?

thats a very good question... everybody that has gotten braces that i know told me 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 1 day, or 2 days... but for me the pain didn't really kick in until about 3-4 days... and after the first check-up mine hurt constantly...
just keep eating soft foods and go by all the rules that suit you... i mean i broke the whole gum rule but i didn't start chewing it until about February or March which was about 5 months...
but i realized everybody's mouth is different so things will be different for you as they were for me
hope your braces will not hurt as bad as mine... :)
