Why do I always swallow my gum on accident?!

Question: Whenever im chewing gum and my mind wanders off i swallow my gum and dont realize it. When ever i buy gum I USUALLY go thro it in 1-2 days

yeah..gum is very addictive...but you should pay more attention to chewing your gum and keeping it in the front of your mouth or on the front sides and not near the back of your teeth...

Perhaps you have a weak "gag reflex" to stop you from swallowing it.

It's an subconscious thing. Your mind knows instinctly when you have food in your mouth to swallow I do that sometimes without even giving it much thought. Because your use to doing it.
