What is dry socket?

does anyone know the condition and could they tell me if it fully traetable as i am bit worried about it.
Answers:
When you have a tooth pulled, a clot forms in the socket. Just like a scab does if you have a cut on your arm. A dry socket is cause by you losing the clot (scab) and now you have exposed bone. It will heal on its own, but until it does, the Oral Surgeon can put a medicated piece of gauze in the socket to protect it and make it less painful. Usually heals in about a week, but for some it may take longer. Using Ibuprofen or some other pain reliever will help. If you are NOT allergic. Good luck.
