It depends on a few factors. First of all, if the retainer is a plastic mold of your teeth it probably can't be fixed and would just have to be replaced. If your retainer is the metal one then it just depends on the damage. If you broke a little piece of the molding off it should be fixable. You really need to see your orthodontist who can tell you what the deal is, and I would do it ASAP so your teeth don't move!
