What is first phase of braces??
im getting braces and this is my first appointment for phase 1 or watever and i wanna know what they are gonna do and will i get braces that appointment??
i'd really appreciate it im siked!!!

When I began going to the orthodontist, I saw him for a year before anything actually happened. So basically, you won't get braces your first appointment. They will discuss with you your plan, like how long you will have them on and stuff like that. They will also take a mold of your teeth with some really gooey stuff that is quite gross, but not that bad. They might take a panoramic x-ray if you haven't had one recently at your dentist. That is just a big machine that goes in a circle around your head. My mouth was really small so I also had to wear head gear at night for a while before I could even get the braces on!! You will have to have spacers too, which are little bitty rubber bands that go in between your very back molars for a week. They are there to create the space for the braces, hence the name. After ALL of that is done you will get your braces on! So depending on how your mouth is and your personal plan, it might be a while but definitely not the first visit!
