What happens to the skin of your gums when your wisdom teeth come out?!

They suture the gums over the extraction site. If the tooth is already erupted there usually is not enough gum tissue to cover the extraction site so they leave it and use a packing material.

if you get them extracted like i did, they just stitch it back up and it heals like a normal wound thats in your mouth.
