Rubber bands for braces!?!

Question: I've recently had rubberbads put on my braces, from the kanines to the molers, to make my bite better and hide the gap where my teeth were removed!

But i've started to get a gap in between my front to teeth? Has this happend to anyone else? Does it cover up?

This is normal. The space in the front will be closed once the space between your molars has closed. Picture a row of cement blocks or bricks. You can't move them altogether. You move the last one first, then the next, and so on. Same way with teeth. If you tried to move them all at once, you'd damage the roots.

no was it would never work

Your orthodontist should fix it next month. In the end, your teeth will come out fine.

you be fine

My dentist did the same thing but I don't have a gap between my two front teeth.

oh i have the same rubber bands and you orthodontist should have put a power chain on your two front teeth. you should call and make a appt. and ask them to put a power chain on. (or you could be like me and not wear them =)

orthodontia is a pseudo-science. Just whack some big creep & gettem knocked out.

It happened to me.
Yes, the gap will close, my gap was there for about 4 months, however I knew in the end I would have perfect straight teeth, and I have!

I used to have fixed braces and I can tell you that I had rubber bands placed on it. I had four teeth removed due to crowding and I was left with gaps.

The rubber band helps move your teeth backwards so that gap disappears. However it won't work or cover up the two front incisors.
I was worse because the orthodontist made me take home a packet of rubber bands. I had to replace them every night and that was a very difficult thing to do because it's tricky placing them in the right bracket.

The orthodontist can take a good look at it on your next appointment. I'm sure that they'll be willing to help you with this problem.

In time the gaps may disappear. I thought I was going to have a gap between my incisors in the front but I was wrong.
My teeth turned out to be perfectly straight in the end,

I hope your treatment goes well. I'm sure that you'll have straight and perfect teeth in the end just like a celebrity.
