GSCEs aren't very important. You just need to do well enough to take the A levels you need (Bio and Chem). This said you should still work hard as good results GSCE results look good on your CV and it's good practice for studying in the future.

The first stage is passing an interview for the dental schools of your choice (you can select up to 4 on your UCAS). To do this you have got to show evidence of dental work experience (usually 2 weeks+), your manual dexterity (bring a model or something), a knowledge about dentistry (read some books) and about that particular university (what makes it differ from the other 12 dental schools in the UK).
