I'm going to need surgery+Braces for four years,GREAT!?!

Question: thats the last thing i need, yesterday was such a great day till the orthodontist told me
"Pepita, you have a tooth on the roof of your mouth"

worst 3 second of my life, im going to need surgery for them to rip it out and then stich it and then find space for the tooth. i was hoping i would only have to wear my braces for 2 years like everyone else, but i have to wear them FOR FOUR YEARS. :(

ill probably forget what i looked like without braces :(

Its okay, theres nothing to be scared or anxious of. Like everyone here said, the outcome will be worth it.

Surgery is nothing to be worried about. You are just going to get that one tooth extracted and thats it! I know some people who had to do major oral surgery where they either break the palatine bone in half or push the jaw back so it can correct the bite....Thank God you're not going through that!

a simple surgery like that and 2 additional years of having braces is nothing, and it will all be worth it.

its ok. the outcome will be well worth it! and everyone forgets what they look like w.o braces. even if you have them for 1 month!

imagine if your parents couldn't afford braces. You should consider yourself very lucky. In a few years you will have a wonderful smile.

Sorry about that i know someone who had them for 8 years

i had dental surgery about 3 times. everytime they numbed my mouth and i fell into a deep sleep. and i have braces after 4 and a half years and they're still on. i forgot about my smile without braces. but the outcome is gonna be good :)

I assume this is an eye tooth (canine tooth) that is impacted.
It is an annoying situation for sure, but this is a very important tooth to save. It sounds awful, but really isn't.
You'll be gorgeous when you're finished.
