How long does it take to eat and chew food like a pizza after u get the braces o!

Question: I just got my braces on a week ago and they still hurt like hell. I can't chew anyhing not even the soft part of the bread. If you had braces before, how long does it take to eat and chew normal food like pizza or sandwiches and does it feel like eating without braces after a while? because im really hungry right now and im fed up with soup and baby food. Please answer if you've experienced this.Thanks...

I know what you mean, I got braces just three months ago. I'd give it about another 3-7 days before it gets properly back to normal. Don't worry though chewing feels exactly the same as it did before you got them eventually. I can eat pizzas and sandwiches fine now rather than taking forever and swallowing chunks whole like I used to in the first week or two.

it doesnt take any time longer, but it does take some getting used to. the first few weeks it might take you longer to chew and swallow.

youll be fine.

Yea I know what you mean....You have no idea how hard it was for me to eat food for the first month in getting braces.

I had to tear most of food and then it take me like 5 minutes to chew.

Wait tell you get over the first week I would wait tell the pain goes away then you can eat what ever you want.

i feel your painn....i couldn't eat real food for like a month....but it goes away eventually

Girl you can eat whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt you. (except apples, candies and drink soda) sorry, lol
