Steve Bornfeld's answer is best. Give him the best rating, and then go see a dentist as soon as you can. It sounds like the nerve experience is caused by the infection, not by the extraction. It would be a bummer to have permanent damage to the nerves because you did not haven't seen soon enough. Take care.

CAN BE AN INFECTION STARTING....GO BACK TO THE DENTIST BEFORE THEEE PAINNNN STARTS!.... Hi...DARKRAVENMOON sorry for the caps....I have acquired Bell's Palsy and am at the stage where only one eye closes at a time so very hard for me to see....I try not to tho when I can.

Sounds like a nerve has been affected. If it doesn't get better in a few weeks, you should see the doctor.

go see a dentist and ask him

It's probably what deb said - a nerve was hit or something.

And TERRI BERRI, there's a thing called TURNING CAPS LOCK OFF.

Just to be clear--the tooth was extracted 2 weeks ago but the numbness just started 2 days ago? If so, it is not nerve damage from the extraction, which would have been immediate.
Have the dentist examine you, and be sure to report the pain in the other tooth after the extraction.

Steve Bornfeld, DDS

the tooth which is hurting you must be having an abscess or a cyst at the root & must be compressing the nerve below. Go to your dentist & get it checked up or you will have permanent damege to the nerve.
