I had a wisdom tooth removed 5 days ago and still in pain?!


Question:

I had a wisdom tooth removed 5 days ago and still in pain?

i was in alot of pain few days ago with my teeth, went dentist and had to have top wisdom tooth removed, since then i been getting a bit of pain from a lower tooth poss nerve or due to them puting pressure there to remove the tooth, and today (5 days later) i noticed the area of removel as started seeping a bit and little bit of a taste in mouth, any idea what i should do? or is this normal.

Get yourself back to the dentist that extracted your tooth!
Wisdom teeth, especially if they are impacted, are difficult extractions. Having the surgery all the way in the back of the mouth is difficult and the healing process can take some time.
You are the only one who really knows how much pain you are in and if it is still very painful it is possible that you are experiencing what is called a Dry Socket.
This occurs when bacteria causes the clot to dissolve leaving the socket exposed to air or if the clot was washed out by rinsing. No matter what the cause the pain won't go away without treatment. So get back to your dentist ASAP!
