Is it safe to have a root canal if you have lyme disease?!

Question:

Is it safe to have a root canal if you have lyme disease?

I was told by a friend sho has lyme disease that it makes the lyme disease worse. I did a google search and it mentioned it because of lyme disease attacking the nervous system. The Dr thinks I have lyme disease and we are waiting on test to confirm it. I am suppose to have the root canal soon. What should I do?

Actually I don't really have much pain with it. I just don't want to end up losing the tooh because it's a front tooth but I also don't want to risk making lyme more prominent if I do indeed have it

Answers:

Are you in severe tooth pain? If not then maybe get the Lyme disease cleared up. Could your tooth problem be causing you symptoms of Lyme disease? I'm really not sure of the proper answer for you sorry.
