Can dental work wear enamel off your teeth?!

Question:

Can dental work wear enamel off your teeth?

I usually have fairly white teeth but I have recently had a root canal, several fillings, and wisdom teeth extracted. On my front two teeth their are brown stains that I can see when I get up close. It is as if my protective coating is missing there and anything I eat or drink gets stuck there and leaves an ugly stain. Is this possible and what can I do to fix it?

Answers:

there's several of toothpaste that claim to bring back enamel to your teeth. they're worth a try, i would think. try avoiding food and drinks that call out stains [coke, coffee, etc.] at least until you're sure they won't leave a nasty stain. if the toothpaste doesn't work, you might want to visit your dentist and ask him/her. good luck.
