Mecury fillings?!

Question:

Mecury fillings?

I have silver coloured fillings in the the back of my mouth that I got in the UK about a year ago.

Are these likely to be mercury and if so, are they really that bad?

Answers:

They may not be good for you as such but unless you have a rare allergic reaction there is no evidence that they generally do any harm even long-term, but having them removed definitely does expose you to high levels of mercury if only for a short period, because they have to be drilled & broken up to be taken out. Live and let live!
