i was just wondering if i can take tylenol before i go to the dentis to get a root canal because my tooth has been in so much pain latley that if im not pumped full of drugs it hurts real bad and if i cant take tylenol all day because of the dentist im gonna be in some serious pain my dentist appontment is tomorrow at 4pm so i can i take tylenol or not?

If you've got an infection, it doesn't matter what you take or how many shots he gives you because if it's that bad he will need to directly give a shot to your nerve...

In order for him to do that, he has to work his way to it, and it kind of hurts (I personally had that done about a month ago and it was pretty bad, even with 3 shots..)

But the second he reaches the infected nerves and gives you the shots directly to the canal, it's smooth sailing from there.

All in all I don't think you should stress it too much... it doesn't hurt THAT bad, and my tooth was hurting like hell before the procedure... it's just something you deal with and it only takes a couple of seconds for him to get to the nerves anyways... after he gives you the shots straight to the roots you won't feel a thing and it's smooth sailing from there.
