Can you tell a person is wearing dentures by the way they talk?!

Question: Usually only when they first have their dentures, then their mouth and speech adjusts to how it feels.

Answers: Usually only when they first have their dentures, then their mouth and speech adjusts to how it feels.

Generally, yes, by how the speech sounds.

no. because some people with dentures are so used to it, you cant notice it

a lady i work with just got some dentures and yes, i could definitely tell just by hearing her talk. it gets a little better tho as the person becomes used to them...the speech doesn't sound so awkward. my dad also has them and when he first got them, he sounded really strange. he sounds normal now. dunno if his mouth adjusted to them or if i just adjusted to hearing him talk with them in! haha!

When their dentures start to slip away while they're talking.

I believe yes, I just wouldn't want to be in a black light room with them then people would really notice (Like at a club) I guess try not to give a big smile...lol
