I just got braces , i got this spring looking appliance attached from one bracket to the other, waht is it?
ive looked for the appliance online i cant find it? i shouldve asked the dentist, i wont know till my next appt.

It is a just a little piece of spring that is wrapped around your archwire. It pushes the two teeth it is between apart. It actually is used to create more space between those two teeth. It can be an irritation sometimes but usually isn't. Eventually they may even take it off your archwire.
