What is the best way to pay for braces?!

Question: I'm looking into getting braces but, have to get my teeth cleaned, and one tooth filled. I want to get Invisalign but, from what I've been reading on here it looks like metal might be faster? Also, how does a single, working girl pay for them? Payment plans? Thank you soooo much!

See if your work offers a flex spending account so that you can save back money for it tax free and ask the dentest for financing plans aval.

Invisalign is definitely inferior to traditional metal brackets and wires. I would avoid it. No surprise, the best orthodontists don't even offer invisalign. It is usually available in dental offices where dentists can take one overnight course before offering this option to their patients.

Most orthodontists are equipped to set up a payment schedule although they might ask for a fairly hefty deposit up front. This discussion should take place during your consultation visit. If they cannot accommodate you financially, you are under no obligation to proceed with the treatment.

Definitely get your restorative work and your cleaning done first.

I wouldn't know I use a belt

Using Invisalign is a good choice for some patients, usually ones that require a minimal to moderate adjustment. They will look at x rays and models to determine if Invisalign will work for you. It is an excellent choice for orthodontics in most cases.

Most patients put up several hundred dollars as a down payment and the remainder is set up in monthly payments. The more you put down, the less the payments will be monthly. Talk with the office manager or the receptionist, they can explain their policy regarding ortho payments and anything else you may want to know about, and possibly some questions you didn't think of.
