I bought an electric toothbrush because it does a better job of cleaning teeth but didn't like it. I figure that between using the manual toothbrush and floss, I'll be ok. I still have my electric toothbrush & don't know what to do with it.

I prefer a manual to an electric. But my sonicare is AMAZING. I gets my mouth so clean. I would recomend it to anyone.

If you're lazy, sure! An electric takes out all the work. They probably do clean a little better, so it's worth it if you're willing to part with the cash.

I like the ultrasonic one because it breaks up my plaque without shreadding my gums, and keeps my gums pretty tight, too. It also disciplines me to spend the requisite time in each quadrant of your mouth, so I do actually brush for 2 minutes instead of 20 seconds.
if you have braces, get an electrical toothbrush and an orthodontist special toothbrush.. use the special toothbrush for the front of your teeth and the electric toothbush for the insides of your teeth
if you don't have braces, I'd still say take the electric toothbrush, make sure you stock up on batteries though :P
Yes. An electric toothbrush is better then a manual because you not only have to brush your teeth, but along your gums too. Some people only brush their teeth and not their gums. An electric toothbrush will help you reach the hard to reach places.
