Putting on braces sometimes irritates the gums and they get swollen. If the swelling doesn't improve in 24 hours, go back to the doctor and show him. He may need to change something.
Your teeth look little because your gums are swollen. Once the swelling goes away, the teeth will look normal again.
If you have ice, wrap the ice in a cloth or paper towel and put it on your gums (not your teeth). It should help the swelling.
