Are My Toddler's Teeth Normal???!

Question:

Are My Toddler's Teeth Normal???

The other day I noticed my two year old's canine teeth are extremely sharp and pointed, almost like fangs. The teeth on the bottom row directly below her "fangs" have not fully grown in yet, but they also are razor sharp and pointed. Will her adult teeth also grow in this way?

Answers:

That is the correct shape for canines, pointed and fang like. They may be sharp but will wear down with use, just as all teeth do. Take a look in the mirror, yours should have a point to them, if they are flat your grinding your teeth and need to have a night guard made. Your toddler is fine, trust me. Good luck!
