Novacaine numbness?!
Question: I went to the dentist today, and got two shots of novacaine in my bottom gums. Is there any way to get the feeling in my mouth back faster? If not, how long does it usually last?

Be patient.. it will wear off on it's own. If the 'shots' were in your gums (infiltration injection), chances are just the area around the tooth is numb. If the injections were given in the back of your mouth (block injection), it numbs one half of your lower lip... that's when you should be extra careful not to 'chew' on yourself while checking to see how much the numbness has worn off.. you could actually bite yourself without realizing it, and it'll be really sore once the feeling has returned...
couple of hours
Don't worry about it. The numbness should wear off in a few hours. Try to strain from biting a possibly numb lip. If you do, your lip will get very fat, and make it very uncomfortable.
I'm sorry but there is no way to make the numb feeling go away faster.
It usually takes about 1 or 2 hours depending on how long ago you got the shot.
You will need to wait it out.
2 hours or so
