Teeth grinding??!

Teeth grinding??

I just started grinding my teeth. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can stop grinding my teeth? I only do it while i am sleeping. I just started wearing braces last April.

P.S. when i wake up my teeth doesn't hurt. Others complain that their jaws and teeth hurt.
Why does it occur?


Answers:

Grinding teeth during orthodontic treatment is common and, in fact, it is expected. You can't get a mouth guard made or it will defeat the purpose of getting braces. You might try a store-bought mouth guard with the approval of your orthodontist, but as long as you have no pain or anything, just forget about it.
