Assuming that your teeth are healthy (because assuming otherwise requires that I type an essay), go to Wal-Mart and buy a mouthguard...one that you can heat and mold to your teeth. Buy a tube of Sensodyne if you no longer have some.

When you are home, brush and floss your teeth as thoroughly as you can. When you are done, smear a layer of Sensodyne over your upper teeth with your (clean) finger and place the mouthguard over top. Wear for at least 20 minutes. Rinse mouth and tray with warm water.
Repeat with lower teeth. Do NOT brush the Sensodyne off of your teeth, only rinse.

You can do this a couple of times a day if you wish.

I recommend you not wear both trays at once because of the out-of-control saliva flow.

Continue treatment daily until the sensitivity is under control. This technique is vastly superior to brushing with Sensodyne because it allows the active ingredients TIME to get into the enamel or exposed roots or exposed dentin, AND, it penetrates more deeply into the tooth structure so that you get results that last longer.

If you get great results, begin using Sensodyne as your regular toothpaste so that the sensitivity never returns or gets as bad again.

You can use the trays (mouthguards) whenever you need to. You cannot over do it.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE A DENTIST JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR TEETH AND GUMS ARE HEALTHY. SENSODYNE WILL NOT WORK IF THERE IS SOMETHING OF SIGNIFICANCE GOING ON.

Listen, there is nothing else that you can do, at least of what I know. Going to the dentist is the best thing you can do. Why are you afraid? Do not worry, you have a dentist to protect yur teeth. Eve if he says it is nothing, what does it matter? He/she may help you. and if he/she does not, then i dnt know. the best you can do is go to the dentist.

Have you whitened your teeth? Because that could be causing the problems. You also might have cavities, so the only way to know for sure is if you go to the dentist.

Some ways to relieve the pain right now is to brush your teeth and floss after every meal with a tooth sensitve toothpaste and to use ora gel.
